open primaries, Limbaugh spoils Clinton vote

There is some suggestion that Rush Limbaugh's exhortations produced votes for Clinton in Texas and Ohio [1][2]. The obvious purpose is to cause the Democrats to exhaust their resources attacking each other, and possibly to produce a candidate McCain can beat.

I say: good riddance to the Democrats. It's mostly liberals who have been in favor of open primaries, which by definition is the idea that non-party people can decide a party's candidate. That's exactly what happened here, and what they asked for by favoring such an idea in the first place. Besides, plenty of Democrats have been playing spoiler in the Republican primary.
