Obama agrees with Rich

A couple of days ago, I heard Obama's speech (on POTUS channel on
Sirius). Obama said:

'It's important to remember that if we don't do anything, insurance
prices will rise. It's inevitable.' (best I can remember it).

Sounds like the same argument Rich has been making. Probably true, but
irrelevant. It fails to ask: compared to what? Obama's solution to
rising prices is to force them even higher. That's like a mugger
saying, give me $200 or else the guy down the street will take $100.
Not a compelling argument. The gun in your belly is a compelling
argument, which is the same one ultimately that Obama intends to use,
all necessary force to confiscate your money. He wants a " public
option". I have a public option: let me opt out of everything, all of
the government insurance, all of the government mandates, all of the
government "protection". That would be a real option, one we'll never
be presented with.

Foonote: yes it's possible, even likely, that rationing will be the
result. Then, the government can say "look, prices are stable". Well,
yes, but only by delivering less care than we previously had at the same
price. That's a price increase in hidden form by taxing our health
instead of our income.
